Daily Short-hOPT: Bursting Your Bubble

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” ―Anaïs Nin

We love our bubble. We love the security it provides and the safeness within its walls. We love knowing exactly how things will be is exactly how things are. We love knowing what will happen in the future.

Except, we want to be better. We want to be promoted and become happier. We want to achieve great things in our lives. We want to gain life experiences and see what the world has to offer.

Quite the conundrum, eh?

Some are content to remain in this bubble. They realize that life for them will always be what it is. While they may not be content with this, they resign themselves to this fate. They just believe that those life experiences that they so desperately want are not within their reach or that it is hopeless to even bother.

Others want to escape the bubble, but are afraid. They are afraid of the uncertainty, the unknown. They have comfort where they are yet they long for something more.

A few more will begin to venture out and tests the waters. They begin the exploration process to see what awaits for them outside their bubble, but often they retreat back to what is safe at the first sign of trouble.

The select few are the ones who just go for it. They either know that their bubble is a temporary landing spot until they reach the next path on their adventurous journey, or the pain of remaining within the bubble, as it is now, is so much that they have no other choice but move on. The time has come to go for it. “What do they have to lose?” they think.

My challenge to you today: Go for it. If you have been thinking about making a change, just do it. Step out of your bubble and don’t look back.

Your future self will thank you for it.

Bring your best today!

Love, Noah
