“There are 86,400 seconds in a day. It’s up to you to decide what to do with them.” – Jimmy Valvano
We are all guilty of wasting time. I know there are many days where I lose track of time browsing Twitter, Facebook, or a multitude of sports websites (baseball-reference.com being my favorite).
Yet, we always claim not to have enough hours in the day to get everything finished. Work piles up on work. Few things get crossed off our to-do lists. Deadlines begin to creep up on us.
But, are we really being efficient with our time?
Take a moment and think about all of the time that gets wasted in our day. Some of it we cannot control, but others we can.
Eliminating what you cannot control, how do you live your day? How do you manage your time?
We could all likely maximize the use of the seconds in our day. We could spend less time complaining and more time doing.
My challenge to you today is this: Evaluate your day. Find out if you are living out your 86,400 seconds how you want. If not, see where you are wasting seconds and what you could do better.
Not enough hours in a day usually is not a valid excuse. Wake up earlier, go to sleep later, don’t press snooze. Make time, don’t waste it.
You have 86,400 seconds in a day. Use them wisely.
Bring your best today!
