The Scoop: Fear of the Unknown

“You can’t make decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen.” – Michelle Obama

Fear of the unknown is a scary thing. Of course the majority of us would like to know the end result before making a decision. Obviously, it doesn’t work that way. Sometimes you have to take the chance, or, conversely, maybe you have to decide that the risk isn’t worth the possible reward. Either way, it’s important to choose from a place of strength, knowledge, and courage.

I think the key phrase in this quote is “possibility of what might happen.” The thing is, there’s no such thing as a sure thing. But, blindly assuming the worst is a hindrance. Stay positive, use your faith, take the time for due diligence, and then move forward.

Remind yourself that regardless of the outcome, life is really pretty good. Enjoy it.

Have an awesome Sunday,
-A.
